Our show which celebrates music of the 60's and 70's is a little different this week.

We will have the music history and the featured year in hour 1, focusing on 1972 this time.

In hour 2 however, we celebrate the music of Cass Elliot. Had she lived, it would have been her birthday tomorrow, but she died sadly in July 1974.

In the Vinyl Countdown, where I play a song from my record collection, we'll hear a mono version of a 60's hit we play a lot on Team-FM, but usually you hear it in stereo. It's elusive, but we should be able to find it! There's a clue.
There's also our feature, Not Now, I'm Listening.

In Not Now, I'm Listening, it's a complete contrast. Unusually for this show, it's a song from just last year, 2015. It's definitely a story with a twist in the tale. It is not what you would expect!

Hi Everybody. It is a true saying that there is no pain without gain. After going through the pain and stress of the busy working week that was, Friday is almost here. The gain is that the weekend is almost upon us. What a nice feeling that is. The pain of the Alarm Clock and the boss, will be replaced by good things, such as having the freedom to do whatever you choose. A lot of historic music events took place on 4 September, and I'll tell you about those. We also have the A to Z of Pop, focusing on the letter B. We'll hear some songs starting with that letter, but it's the stories behind them that we're also interested in.
