When The Clock Strikes Seven, I'll Be Ready To Go
Hi everybody. On Friday, when the Clock strikes 7 PM in Ireland and the UK, that’s 2 PM Eastern, I’d love it if you could join me, Brian D, who’ll be ready to Welcome you to the Weekend. Well rested from a lovely Holiday, I’ll be live from Dublin Town on the East Coast of Ireland, with two hours of feel good music and friendly banter to set you up for the weekend ahead.
All our regular features will be here for you to enjoy, and participate in if you’d like too:
• Kick-Start. The track that sets the pace for the weekend ahead. We’ll hear a track released in 1996, that was used by many companies to advertise their products, as well as being used at sporting events.
• The Good, the Bad and the Ugly. You’ll hear 3 versions of the same song, performed by 3 artists. You are welcome to tell me which is Good, Bad or Ugly. This week, we hear a track that was released by two different artists at the same time in the 1970’s, along with a version rleased in the 80’s.
• Weekend Rewind. Taking you back to good things that you did in times gone by. Watching Movies for many people is a good way to relax. A great storyline and good acting can make us laugh. Many Movies also contain great music too. This weekend, I’ll be rewinding you back to some great music from the Movies over the years. If you have any particular tracks you’d like to hear that were part of a particular Movie, do let me know and I’d be happy to play them.
• The One That Got Away. A track that is not often heard on Radio. We’ll hear a track by Carole King, about a particular Café you may have visited before? Or may go too in the future.
If you’d like to be in touch with me before, or during the show, you are most welcome too. To request a tune that makes you feel good, to participate in any of our features or simply to say hi, it’s very easy. You can:
