Hi Everyone. Are you hanging up a stocking on your wall? Or you waiting for the family to arrive? In the words of a song, it’s Christmas. The time has come when the Welcome to the Weekend crew crank up the atmosphere to the max. The feel-good festive tunes, mince pies, mulled wine, plenty of talking points and we’ll even have some Christmas Cracker jokes too.

Gone, but not forgotten. Dead! But their music will live for ever. From the King of rock n Roll to the Queen of soul. Respect is the name of the game.

From the music of the 50’s and 60’s that laid the foundations for great music to come, through to disco and the present day. In our annual show we call Dead Cool, we celebrate the great music of those artists who are no longer with us, but they are cool because of the mark they have made on the world of music. They may be gone, but definitely not forgotten.

Hi everyone. I hope your enjoying the nice warm summer weather, if you’re living in Europe or the US. Today at 7PM in Ireland and the UK, I’d like to invite you to the annual Welcome to the Weekend Summer Party.

On the station where great music matters, I will crank up a real party atmosphere, with lots of summer music and fun. I will have plenty of feel-good music and summer songs old and new. If there is a song that reminds you of summer, I would love to know what it is.

At this time every year, around Halloween, I invite you to our Dead Cool annual show, on Team Fm.

At 7PM today, in Ireland and the UK I will not only welcome you to the Weekend, but on this occasion, it’s our show we call Dead Cool. The purpose of the show, is to celebrate the music of all those great artists who are gone, but not forgotten. They may be dead, but they are cool because of the mark they have made on the world of music. From the legends of the 1950’s and 60’s, through the 80’s and beyond, you’ll hear many of them today.

Welcome to the Weekend Turns 10!

Hi everyone. On August 24th 2012, at 7PM in Ireland and the UK, I began Welcome to the Weekend on Team Fm. The idea behind the show, was that through feel-good music and friendly banter, I could help you all to wipe away the stress of your busy working week and get you ready for the Weekend ahead. While the show has gone through some changes over the last ten years, with the features for example, the aim of the show has remained the same.

Today at 7PM in Ireland and the UK, or 2PM on the East Coast of America, I’d like to welcome you to the Weekend, with a Friday Disco. Each week for 30 minutes, I get to re-live those disco days from the 70’s and 80’s with you. Today, as a once off, the entire 2 days will be devoted to this great genre of music.

Hi everyone. Traditionally, at this time of year, it was always considered a time when people would have begun thinking about their holidays for the year ahead. Dreams of destinations people have visited in the past, as well as places on their bucket list for future visits, would come to mind. This was triggered by TV adverts and holiday companies having their winter sale.

Hi everyone. The build up to Christmas has always been something I’ve loved since I was very young. The excitement of waiting for Santa to arrive and getting my school holidays. Year’s later, it was the nights out with friends and the office Christmas party. Not only that, but I enjoy the festive music on the radio, to really get you in the mood.
