Brian D Says Welcome To The Weekend

Hi everyone. Every Friday at 7 PM in Ireland and the UK, that’s 2PM Eastern, your busy stressful working week comes to a close, and I say those all-important words “Welcome to the Weekend”. Tomorrow is no exception, and I’d love it if you could join me, Brian D, for two hours of feel good music and friendly banter, to start your weekend on the right track.

All our regular features will be here for you to enjoy and participate in if you’d like too:
• Kick-Start. The track that sets the pace for the Weekend ahead. By request I’ll begin with a track released in 2011, from a band that won fame and fortune by winning a talent competition.
• The Good, the Bad and the Ugly. Three versions of the same song, performed by 3 artists. You’re welcome to tell me which is Good, Bad or Ugly, if you’d like too.
• Weekend Rewind. Taking you back to good things that you did in times gone by. How many of us went to School Discos in the 80’s? I definitely did. They were a big part of my Friday night. This weekend I’ll rewind you back to the days when I was in the mood for dancing at the School Disco, wearing my baggy Trousers. If you’ve got memories of that time too, or a tune you remember from those days, feel free to contact me.
• The One That Got Away. A track that is not often heard on Radio. We’ll stay in the 1980’s, and hear a track released in 1983, about a character who was caught in an accident in space.

If you’d like to be in touch with me before, or during the show, I’d love to hear from you. To request a tune that makes you feel good, to share your plans for the Weekend with me or simply to say hi, it’s very easy. You can:
