Lets Blow The CobWebs Off The Working Week
Hi everyone. The first week back at work after the holidays is often difficult. The longer you are away, the harder it is to get back to reality. After three weeks off, it was a killer. However, On Friday, at 7 PM in Ireland and the UK, or 2 PMEastern, it will be time for me, Brian D, to blow those cobwebs off, and wipe that stress away from the week that was, and Welcome you to the Weekend. Live from Dublin Town on the East Coast of Ireland, I’ll have two hours of the hottest feel good music around, mixed with friendly banter, for you to enjoy.
All our regular features will be here for you to participate in if you’d like too:
• Kick-Start. The track that sets the pace for the weekend ahead. By request we’ll begin with a track released by an Australian band in 1990, that will start your weekend with a bang.
• The Good, the Bad and the Ugly. Three versions of the same song, performed by 3 artists. You are welcome to tell me which is Good, Bad or Ugly. We’ll feature a track written in 1965, as a result of a certain band at the time, becoming very successful, very quickly.
• Weekend Rewind. Taking you back to good things that you did in times gone by. In 2004, I received my first MP3 Player as a present for Christmas. It made carrying a large amount of music with me, and accessing it easily an experience I’ll never forget. There were certain songs that were must have’s, that just had to be on it. When did you receive your first MP3 player? And what songs did you need to have. Please feel free to share these with me, if you’d like too, as I rewind you back to this time in your life this weekend.
• The One That Got Away. A track that is not often heard on Radio. The Radio, is another great way to hear music, and still is important to lots of us. This time we’ll hear a track from a well-known female artist, who reminisces about the tracks she heard on Radio as a child, as she grew into an adult.
If you’d like to be in touch with me before, or during the show, you are most welcome too. To request a tune that makes you feel good, to participate in any of our features or simply to say hi, it’s very easy. You can:
