Welcome to the Weekend! with feel good music!
Hi everyone. I’m looking forward to bringing the working week to a close today at 7PM in Ireland and the UK, or 2PM Eastern. That’s the time when your Weekend officially begins, wherever you are in the world. I’ll offer you a warm welcome on Team Fm, the station where great music matters. Speaking of music, I’ll have 2 hours of the hottest tunes around, mixed with friendly banter too, to set you up for the two days of freedom that lie ahead of you.
The show is feature filled too:
• Kick-Start-Track. It’s the track that sets the pace for the Weekend. We’ll begin with a tune released in 2013, by a talented music producer, with some advice to offer.
• 1 at the Weekend. We’ll hear 3 well-known number 1 singles from 3 different decades, that were at the top on this Weekend in, 2014, 2000 and 1985, but in which country?
• Singled out. In the days when music wasn’t available on demand, Was There a single you really wanted, and the only way you could get it was to save your pennies to buy it. I’ll play a Single I bought in June 1989.
• The Friday Disco. In this segment of the show, we’ll relive those Disco Days from the 1970s and 80’s, when this genre of music was at its peak worldwide.
• Top of the Past. We’ll remind ourselves of a Top-notch music release, that was a Top Tune from the past.
• Team Fm Top Tune. This must be a top-notch new release, it has to be better than all the rest, to carry this honour for the next seven days. You’ll hear it for the first time on the station where great music matters today.
