Welcome To The Weekend, Spice Up Your Life
Hi everyone. The busy week for most people means doing the same mundane things, day in, day out. Going to work for 5 days and doing what has to be done, coming home and doing it all over again. Today at 7PM in Ireland and the UK, that’s 2PM Eastern, it will be time to draw a line under the busy week that was, and allow me Brian D, to spice up your life, and Welcome you to the Weekend. I’ll have 2 hours of the finest up beat tunes, mixed with friendly banter, to give you a new lease of energy and get you on track for the Weekend ahead.
Our regular features will be here too, such as:
• Kick-start. The track that sets the pace for the Weekend ahead. In 1997, a group of girls released a tune, that spiced up the World, and filled us with positivity. It is they that Kick-start our Weekend.
• The Good, the Bad and the Ugly. This is where we hear three versions of the same song by three different artists. I invite you to tell me which one is Good, Bad or Ugly, if you’d like too.
• Weekend Rewind. Taking you back to good things that you did in times gone by. Taking to the Road for a trip can be entertaining in many ways, from the sites that you see to the conversations you can have with other passengers. You may be driving away from home on the Road to nowhere, with no particular place to go, but a Road Trip can have good memories. This Weekend by request, I’ll rewind a listener to good times he enjoyed about the various trips he took.
• Team Fm Top Tune of the Week. Many Singles are released weekly. However, to carry the honour of being the Team Fm Top Tune of the Week, it has to be top notch. It has to be, as Tina Turner would say, Simply the Best. Just before it comes on, you’ll be advised to crank the volume way up because it’s so good. Our choice for this week, will be revealed at some point during the show when you’ll hear it for the first time on Team Fm.
