The Team-FM holiday programmes are now in full swing! Whether you are wrapping presents, out with family and friends, or particularly if you are on your own during the festivities, why not drop into Team-FM for some company and hear some great entertainment. We also hope that what we have to offer will help with loneliness and keeping up your spirits. We have close to 160 hours of special programming still to come!
From shows filled with nostalgia, through to those presented by well-known celebrities and current mainstream radio personalities, we hope you'll enjoy our Christmas and New Year lineup!
There's no shortage of shows to check out this holiday time with festive tunes, the latest hits and oldies. For those who love radio from the past, we've brought back our very popular chart re-creations you've enjoyed so much over the years. Not only that, we have some additional radio spectaculars for you during the holiday so as to remember British broadcasting from the past.

Saturday 21 December.
9 AM to 11 AM. Mark Gale hosts Decades Breakfast. A lively show for the morning packed with features and games, containing music from the late 50's to the 2000's.
12 PM to 2 PM. The Lounge with Brian D. Enjoy hits from the 90's to now including those festive favourites!
2 PM to 5 PM. Spencer James presents the Airplay40 Christmas Chart. Who will take that coveted Christmas number 1 award?
5 PM to 7 PM. Paul Baker presents Part 1 of the A to Z of Christmas! Hear songs and the back-stories behind many festive favourites you know and love: artists from Ariana Grande to The Wombles and everything in between.
7 PM to 9 PM. The Music Machine with Brian Hartgen. Focusing upon those Christmas number 1's, Brian has stacks of fascinating facts to tell you about them you may not have heard before. And no Music Machine would be complete without its games, and we've got some real tough ones for those music lovers out there.
9 PM to 11 PM. it's Charts From the Past, reliving and celebrating our British radio heritage. Tony Blackburn takes us back to 1980 and counts down the Christmas top 40. Hear songs by John Lennon, Jona Lewie, ABBA, Madness and many more.
Sunday 22 December.
Sunday is always Retro Day, but this week, it's extra festive!
8 AM to 10 AM. Radio 1 Remembered. Thanks to some new sophisticated technology, we are able to enjoy two shows from Radio 1's heyday. First, the Breakfast Show with Noel Edmonds from 1973, and then at 9 AM Ed Stewart's Junior Choice from 1976. You can once again relive the magic and hear how talented these DJ's were! And if you love Ed Stewart, there's more to enjoy on New Year's Day!
Our regular shows, Sunday Gold and 70's Sunday Lunch, have holiday specials packed with nostalgic Christmas magic. In particular, 70's Sunday Lunch is jam packed with TV, memories of toys, games, food, gift ideas, Christmas music from the decade, and more. If you want to remember Christmas in the 70's, this is the show for you.
3 PM to 6 PM. Paul Baker concludes the A to Z of Christmas! Hear songs and the back-stories behind many festive favourites you know and love: artists from Ariana Grande to The Wombles and everything in between.
6 PM to 8 PM. Charts from the Past takes you back to 1988 with Mark Goodier counting down the Christmas Top 40. Enjoy hits from artists like Cliff Richard, Kylie & Jason, Erasure, and Status Quo.
8 PM to Midnight. We honour the legacy of Radio London on its 60th anniversary. Radio London at 60 features the Fab 40 number ones, complete with original adverts and jingles from this iconic offshore station. It’s a 60’s celebration you won’t want to miss!
Monday 23 December.
8 AM to 10 AM. Gary King brings you a Totally 80's Christmas. Along with festive hits from the decade, celebrity guests drop by to share their favourite holiday songs.
10 AM to 6 PM. Claire Sturgess presents The 100 Biggest Hits of Christmas. From timeless classics to modern favourites, she’ll keep you singing along as you prep for the big day, plus stories straight from the stars behind the hits.
6 PM to 8 PM. Peter Kirkpatrick hosts 50 Years of Pop, featuring Christmas classics across the decades, from the 60s through to the 2000s. Hear the stories behind these timeless hits, making you love them even more.
8 PM to 9 PM. dive into the music rivalry of a lifetime with Once Upon a Time in the West Midlands, a documentary about Slade and Wizzard's race for the top Christmas spot.
9 PM to Midnight. The Music Machine goes Christmas Crazy with Brian Hartgen. Enjoy festive favourites, Christmas cracker jokes for 2024, a novelty hour, and plenty of holiday games.
Tuesday 24 December. Christmas Eve.
9 AM to 10 AM. Charts From the Past. Tom Brown takes us back to what some people regard as one of the best years of the 70's, 1974. Hear from artists such as Mud, Elvis Presley, Alvin Stardust and The Wombles.
10 AM to 12 PM. Peter Kirkpatrick’s 50 Years of Pop brings you a festive mix of Christmas classics across five decades.
12 PM to 2 PM. Dave Mac is along to bring you the Christmas Retro Chart show. He'll count down the charts from two great years, and you'll hear the Christmas number 1's, but which years will they be?
2 PM to 5 PM. Brian and Lulu celebrate Christmas Eve's past. Remember the anticipation of the big day to come as they share their memories and music from the 70's and 80's.
5 PM to 7 PM. Charts from the Past with Tommy Vance, revisiting Christmas 1983. Hear iconic songs from Slade, Culture Club, Paul Young, and Billy Joel.
7 PM to 10 PM. Airsleigh40 with Spencer James, where listeners from around the world have voted for their top festive songs. It’s the ultimate holiday countdown!
10 PM to 11 PM. Our new show host Jim Barrington takes you back to hear some of the best music ever made from the 1960's. Enjoy Christmas classics and good wishes.
Wednesday 25 December. Christmas Day.
9 AM to 10 AM. We begin Christmas Day in the traditional way. Lulu brings to you the Meaning of Christmas, a mixture of classic and modern poetry together with beloved Christmas carols performed by the finest choirs to begin the day with a little quiet reflection.
10 AM to 4 PM. Brian Hartgen hosts Music for a Merry Christmas. Whether you’re opening presents, cooking Christmas dinner, or spending time alone, this six-hour extravaganza has something for everyone: games, Christmas memories and the music!
4 PM to 6 PM. In Charts From the Past, Tommy Vance counts down the top 40 of Christmas 1982. Hear from David Essex, Shakin' Stevens, Modern Romance, Lionel Richie and many more.
6 PM to 10 PM. Paul Baker continues the festive celebration with tunes to keep the holiday spirit going.
10 PM to 11 PM. A chance to end the day in reflective mood or for those who could not hear it earlier, the meaning of Christmas ends our day with heartfelt poetry and carols.
Thursday 26 December. Boxing Day.
9 AM to 11 AM. Mark Gale hosts Decades Breakfast. A lively show for the morning packed with features and games, containing music from the late 50's to the 2000's.
12 PM to 2 PM. Paul Baker on the Radio. Get Your Boxing Day lunchtime started with a trip down memory lane and the biggest hits from the 70s, 80s, and 90s. Get ready to groove with legends like Bob Marley, Men Without Hats, The Housemartins, Kim Appleby, David Essex, Blondie and Kate Bush.

1 PM to 3 PM. Retro Hits with Dave Adams. Retro Hits is all about reliving those golden decades of big hair, shoulder pads, bright neon clothes, and, of course, legendary music! It's a fun, upbeat show packed with the hits that defined an era. Whether you're a fan of disco grooves, early synth sounds, or smooth soul, this show has it all.
3 PM to 5 PM. Charts From the Past. Simon Bates plays the best selling singles of 1978. Hear from artists such as Andrew Gold, the Electric Light Orchestra and we mustn't forget John Travolta & Olivia Newton-John.
5 PM to 7 PM. Dive into The A to Z of the 80s Part 1 with Brian Hartgen. He'll explore hits from a specific letter of the alphabet, sharing backstories and musical gems from the decade.
7 PM to 9 PM. Welcome to the Weekend. With great features, friendly banter from the honey-voiced Brian D and, best of all, feel-good music to put you in a great mood, it's the only way to celebrate the weekend ahead!
9 PM to 11 PM. Paul Baker on the Radio. Includes the best of today's chart-toppers and hits from the last decade. Expect to hear superstars like Ellie Goulding, Pink, Coldplay, Teddy Swims, Ella Henderson, and Katy Perry.

11 AM to 1 PM. The Lounge with Brian D. Is there a special place you like to get into on a Saturday where you can chill out in the presence of great company, and enjoy quality music from the 90s to now? Join Brian D for great music, features, new music releases and the latest entertainment news!
1 PM to 3 PM. Totally 80's Remixed. Gary King presents the coolest remixes from the decadent decade with maybe a surprise celebrity guest to spice up the concoction.
3 PM to 5 PM. The A to Z of the 80's part 2. Brian Hartgen explores the hits of the 80's in some depth, all beginning with a particular letter of the alphabet. For two hours, he'll play the songs and tell you the back-stories behind them too.
5 PM to 7 PM. 80's One Hit Wonders with Gary King. In music, sometimes the star that burns twice as bright burns twice as quickly. Gary will celebrate those artists who only had one big hit during the 80's decade.
7 PM to 9 PM. The Music Machine, Lost in the 80's Special. Brian Hartgen delves through the archives of the 1980's and plays many of those songs you may have forgotten all about. And he'll have the Sing Baby Sing and Musical Treasure Hunt games!
9 PM to 11 PM. Charts From the Past. Tony Blackburn presents the best selling singles of 1981. Hear from Soft Cell, Shakin' Stevens, Michael Jackson and Bucks Fizz.
Sunday 29 December.
10 AM to 4 PM. The Name of the Game. for six hours, Brian Hartgen plays songs with a name in the title: boys names, girls names, and from many genres from the 50's right up until today.
whether you love sweet caroline or you're asking billy not to be a hero, there will be something for most people in the show.

Monday 30 December.

4 PM to 6 PM. Paul Baker on the Radio. Paul brings you hits from the 70s, 80s, and 90s, along with quirky trivia, fun facts, and the latest lighter news.
6 PM to 10 PM. The Greatest Show. join Brian and Lulu for a dazzling four-hour celebration of music from stage and screen, brand new for 2024. Tuesday 31 December. New Year's Eve.

11 AM to 2 PM. Join Spencer James for the airplay 40 chart of the year. The suspense is mounting! Who will take that coveted number one slot?
2 PM to 4 PM. Brian D's Review of the Year. Brian celebrates the best music in his review of 2024. He'll tell you about the most successful groups and artists as only he can, and, he'll remember some of the Team-FM Top Tunes too. You'll hear from Sabrina Carpenter, Teddy Swims, Ella Henderson and Taylor Swift.
4 PM to 7 PM. Rock and Roll Heaven with Mark Stafford. The most comprehensive and detailed year end tribute show covering the stars of music who left us in 2024.
7 PM to 9 PM. Paul Baker takes you on a nostalgic trip through the biggest hits from the 70s, 80s, and 90s as you get ready for the New Year's Eve party.
9 PM to 1 AM. The stage is set, the party is here. it's the new year Party on team-fm, the biggest, the loudest, the craziest party ever.

7 PM to 10 PM. Junior Choice with Brian and Lulu Hartgen. Now in its thirteenth year, through songs, archive recordings and their own memories, Brian and Lulu celebrate the best radio show for children to come out of britain which is still remembered even today.
