As you will have gathered from our show Charts From the Past, at Team-FM we are great believers in preserving our British radio history.
It was on 25 July 1964, almost sixty years ago, when legendary British broadcaster Tony Blackburn took to the air on Radio Caroline for the first time.
To celebrate this broadcasting milestone, on Sunday at 9 PM we will run again our two hour documentary The Big Big Sound, the story of Tony Blackburn.

He's a man who everybody loves, has made broadcasting history and he was even King of the Jungle in the TV show I'm a Celebrity Get Me Out of Here. His story is told in a Team-FM documentary! Hear Tony in his own words talk about his early beginnings, those Radio Caroline days, Big L, the opening of BBC Radio 1, his love of soul music and so much more!
