london bridge is down: a Loving Tribute to Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II, Friday 9 September, 5 PM.
The sad news reached us today from Buckingham Palace that Queen Elizabeth II has passed away.
She was our longest-serving monarch who spent 70 years on the throne.
Queen Elizabeth II is survived by her four children, eight grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.
In celebration of her life and reign on the throne, Team-FM have prepared a tribute to her majesty Queen Elizabeth II which will be aired this Friday at 5 PM UK time, 12 PM US Eastern. The show, hosted by Brian and Lulu Hartgen, will contain songs to celebrate her milestones throughout the years together with audio archive extracts from them. You will also hear memories from those people who celebrated with her; not only the British public but those from all over the world. The Silver Jubilee of 1977 is a good example.
The Queen loved music and above all, she loved to dance. Her cousin, Lady Elizabeth Anson, told the BBC that she had "Great Rhythm and was a fantastic dancer". So we'll hear some of her favourite songs too.
So join us tomorrow as we celebrate a truly wonderful life. Rest in peace your majesty.
