Easter is On the Way!

Easter is approaching, and we have a long holiday weekend. We always try to do something a little different during this period, and so we have a slight change to our shows this coming Sunday. For the many people who tell us they love Retro Day, that isn't going anywhere.

On Sunday between 10 AM and 1 PM, in place of Sunday Gold, Brian Hartgen presents Number 1's of the Easter Holidays. We've been through and checked the dates on which Easter has fallen from 1948 onwards, and so you'll hear the number 1's from that year through to the late 1980's. He'll also play some tracks from some of the number 1 albums, and tell you about many of the songs. He promises also to have some games, such as the Sing Baby Sing game. This is where vocals are completely removed from a song and you have to identify it from the backing alone. Maybe he'll remove all the instruments as well and just leave you with the drums? We'll see.

At 1 PM, it's one of our chart reconstructions. Tony Blackburn counts down the best selling singles of 1981. Hear the best of the best from a fantastic year of music!

Then programming resumes as normal.
