Step Into Christmas with Welcome to the Weekend
Hi everyone. It’s that time of the year, if you celebrate Christmas, that the preparations get into full swing. Decorations to be hung, Shopping to do and Parties to enjoy. No matter whether you’re doing all of the above this Weekend, or simply sitting back and chilling out after a busy week, I’d love it if you could join me, Brian D, on Friday at 7PM in Ireland and the UK, or 2PM Eastern, On Team Fm, when I will Welcome you to the Weekend. I’ll have a great mix of feel good music and friendly banter for 2 hours, to get you ready for the Weekend ahead.
Features on the show will include:
• Kick-Start. The track that sets the pace for the Weekend ahead. We’ll begin with a tune released in November 1973, it will get you ready for the festive season.
• the Good, the Bad and the Ugly. This is where we hear three versions of the same song by three different artists. I invite you to tell me which one is Good, Bad or Ugly. It will be a festive tune this time.
• Weekend Rewind. Taking you back to good things that you did in times gone by. Are there any songs that remind you of a particular Christmas Party that you attended? Or songs that if you heard them, would get you out onto the Dance Floor at a Christmas Party. Feel free to let me know, and I’ll rewind you back to that goodtime.
• The One That Got Away. A track that is not often heard on Radio. We’ll hear a track released by a UK band in October 1989.
