You Can't Beat The Weekend
Hi everyone. After a busy stressful working week, you simply can’t beat the Weekend when it comes around. Fun, Freedom and Feel Good Music are all essential. The good news is that the weekend is close at hand, and it will be with us tomorrow, at 7 PM in Ireland and the UK, or 2 PM Eastern. I’d love it if you could join me, Brian D, as I Welcome you to the Weekend, on Team Fm, to get your Weekend off on the right track.
There will be fun, as I will have lots of friendly banter for you to enjoy. Freedom, as you are free to request any tune you’d like to hear that makes you feel good. Speaking of Feel Good? The music will be upbeat, and guaranteed to give you that Feel Good Friday Feeling.
All our regular features will be here for you to participate in if you’d like too:
• Kick-Start. The track that sets the pace for the weekend ahead. We’ll begin with a track released in 1983, that can’t be beaten. Just like the Weekend.
• The Good, the Bad and the Ugly. Three versions of the same song, performed by 3 artists. You are welcome to tell me which is Good, Bad or Ugly, if you’d like too.
• Weekend Rewind. Taking you back to good things that you did in times gone by. How many of us bought singles by a particular pop star, because we liked everything that they produced, good or bad. You’d even buy a single, just to have a b side, which might not be on their album. What about those One Hit Wonders? Those artists who had one hit, their one and only successful song. By request this Weekend, I’ll rewind you back to some of those. Usual story applies, if you’d like to suggest anything that fits this category, I’d love to hear from you.
• The One That Got Away. A track that is not often heard on Radio. This time, we’ll hear a version of a song written by a gentleman who has recently won the Nobel Prize for Literature. Covered by an artist who has just released his Autobiography, and plans to tour next year.
If you’d like to be in touch with me before, or during the show, you are most welcome. To request a tune that makes you feel good, to participate in any of our features or simply to say hi, it’s very easy. You can:
