The Weekend is always Welcome!

Hi everyone. After a long and busy week, the Weekend is always Welcome. It begins today at 7PM in Ireland and the UK, that’s 2PM on the East Coast of America. I’ll be on Team Fm, the place where great music really does matter, with two hours of feel good music, and lots of friendly banter too, to start your Weekend.

The show is feature filled:
• Kick-Start-Track. It’s the track that sets the pace for the Weekend. We’ll begin with a tune released in 2006, that will blow the cobwebs off the working week that was.
• 1 at the Weekend. We’ll hear 3 well-known number 1 singles from 3 different decades, that were at the top on this Weekend in 2009, 1999 and 1985, but in which country?
• Singled out. In the days when music wasn’t available on demand, Was There a single you really wanted, and the only way you could get it was to save your pennies to buy it. I’ll play a Single I bought in 1982, that even came with a poster of the band in question.
• The Friday Disco. In this segment of the show, we’ll relive those Disco Days from the 1970s and 80’s, when this genre of music was at its peak worldwide.
• Brian D’s Hot Pick. What new release grabbed my attention over the last 7 days? You’ll have to tune in to see.
• Team Fm Top Tune. This top-notch new release is better than all the rest, and you can hear it for the first time today, on Team Fm.
