The Weekend is Most Welcome!

Hi everyone. After the Christmas and new year festivities, what else could we have left to look forward too? The Weekend of course. This will begin at the usual time, today at 7PM in Ireland and the UK or 2PM Eastern, in the usual place, Team Fm. It’s the place where great music really does matter.

Speaking of music, I’ll have 2 hours of the finest feel good tunes around, in a warm and friendly atmosphere, to set you up for the first Weekend of 2019. The following features will be here too:
• Kick-Start-Track. It’s the track that sets the pace for the Weekend. Starting with a track released at the start of 2015, it gives us a positive message not only for the weekend, but for the year ahead.
• 1 at the Weekend. We’ll hear 3 well-known number 1 singles from 3 different decades, that were at the top on this Weekend in, 2003, 1992, and 1980, but in which country?
• Singled out. In the days when music wasn’t available on demand, Was There a single you really wanted, and the only way you could get it was to save your pennies to buy it. We’ll hear a listener request from 1983
• The Friday Disco. In this segment of the show, we’ll relive those Disco Days from the 1970s and 80’s, when this genre of music was at its peak worldwide.
