Spreading that Friday Festive Feeling?

Hi everyone. Not only is that Friday feeling in the air, but it’s a Festive Friday feeling. The happy jolly season is in full swing now, I’ll be making sure it comes your way, if you’d like some. I’ll be on the station where great music matters today at 7PM in Ireland and the UK, or 2PM Eastern. I’ll have the usual 2 hours of feel good music with lots of Christmas tunes in the mix, and friendly banter too. A great way to Welcome the Weekend.

I’ll have features such as:
• Kick-Start-Track. It’s the track that sets the pace for the Weekend. Starting with an up-beat tune from 1979, that tells us what this time of year is all about.
• 1 at the Weekend. We’ll hear 3 well-known number 1 singles from 3 different decades, that were at the top on this Weekend in, 2011, 2003 and 1981, but on which side of the Atlantic.
• Singled out. In the days when music wasn’t available on demand, Was There a single you really wanted, and the only way you could get it was to save your pennies to buy it. I’ll take you back to 1985 this week.
• The Friday Disco. In this segment of the show, we’ll relive those Disco Days from the 1970s and 80’s, when this genre of music was at its peak worldwide.
