A Warm Welcome to the Weekend!
Hi everybody. At 7PM in Ireland and the UK, 2PM Eastern today, it will be time for Brian D to warmly Welcome you to the Weekend, on the station where Great Music Matters. Two hours of the hottest tunes around, along with warm and friendly banter, will free you from the stress of the week that’s just gone, and get you set for the wonderful Weekend that lies ahead.
The usual features will be here too:
• Kick-start. Setting the pace for the Weekend ahead. Beginning with a tune released initially in 1966, it was given a different treatment in 1987, by an American female group.
• The Good, the Bad and the Ugly. You’ll hear 3 versions of the same song, by 3 different artists. You can tell me if you’d like too, which one is Good, Bad or Ugly.
• Weekend Rewind. Taking you back to good things that you did in times gone by, through memories and music. There have been many good songs released for charity, raising money for important causes. Along with that, there are many songs that remind me of watching events for charity on TV, as well as events I attended. Are there any songs of this nature that remind you of charity events? While raising much needed money, they can often have good memories attached. As always, your welcome to share these with me if you like.
• The Team Fm Top Tune. There are a number of tracks released each week, but the Top Tune has to be top notch. Better than all the rest, because you’ll be encouraged to crank up the volume just before you hear it. You can hear this week’s one for the first time on Team Fm.
