Welcome to the Weekend, it feels like I'm in Love!
Hi everyone. If you’re lucky, and have that someone special someone in your life, you’ll recognise that feeling of walking on air, all over your body. You’ll be on cloud 9. There’s only one thing that comes any way close for me, and that’s the Friday feeling. For me, it feels like I’m in love, when it happens. Today at 7PM in Ireland and the UK, 2PM Eastern, I’d like you to allow me, Brian D, to spread the love and the Friday feeling when I Welcome you to the Weekend, on the station where great music matters. I’ll have 2 hours of feel good tunes to get your Weekend started, and lots of friendly banter too, to bring an end to the busy week.
Our regular features will show up too:
• Kick-start. Setting the pace for the Weekend ahead. Beginning with a track that was a sleeper hit, but once it became big, it became a popular track.
• The Good, the Bad and the Ugly. You’ll hear 3 versions of the same song, by 3 different artists. You can tell me if you’d like too, which one is Good, Bad or Ugly.
• Weekend Rewind. Taking you back to good things that you did in times gone by, through memories and music. In the 1970’s and 80’s, if you went to the Disco, the slow sets were a popular feature. They resulted in lots of fun plucking up the courage to give the eye, to a girl or a guy for a dance. Are there any songs that remind you of this time? And bring back memories. I’ve got lots, and as always, I’m happy for you to share yours with me too, if you’d like too.
• The Team Fm Top Tune. There are a number of tracks released each week, but the Top Tune has to be top notch. Better than all the rest, because you’ll be encouraged to crank up the volume just before you hear it. You can hear this week’s one for the first time on Team Fm during the show.
