Celebrate! It's the Weekend
Hi everybody. When you work hard all week long, living for the weekend, and Friday eventually comes around, it’s time for a celebration. Today, at 7PM in Ireland and the UK, 2PM Eastern, I’ll close the working week, and celebrate the 2 days of freedom that lie ahead. On Team Fm, the station where great Music Matters, I’ll have 2 hours of feel good tunes and friendly banter to Kick-Start your Weekend.
All our regular features will be on offer too, such as:
• Kick-start. We’ll set the pace for the Weekend ahead. Going back to 1980, we’ll hear a popular track played at Parties and Weddings, to set the tempo.
• The Good, the Bad and the Ugly. You’ll hear 3 versions of the same song, by 3 different artists. You can tell me if you’d like too, which one is Good, Bad or Ugly.
• Weekend Rewind. Taking you back to good things that you did in times gone by, through memories and music. During the 1980’s, many of the singles released, were available in 12 inch, as well as the regular 7 inch. The 12 inch version was often interesting, in terms of the mixes created. It’s 12 inch singles from the 1980’s that is the subject of the Weekend Rewind today. I bought lots of them, some were good and some not so good, but I’ll share the best of them with you today, along with my memories and invite you to share yours too, if you like.
• The Team Fm Top Tune. There are a number of tracks released each week, but the Top Tune has to be top notch. Better than all the rest, because you’ll be encouraged to crank up the volume just before you hear it. I’ll play the first one for 2018, for the very first time, on Team Fm today.
