It's the Weekend, let's say Welcome to it!
Hi everybody. After a frantic and busy week, Friday has arrived. The day that we can bring the week to a close, and welcome the Weekend with open arms. At 7PM in Ireland and the UK, 2PM Eastern, with 2 hours of feel good music and friendly banter, I’ll do just that. I’d love it if you could join me, Brian D, on the Station where great music matters, and together we’ll Kick-start the Weekend.
All our regular features will be here too, such as:
• Kick-start. We’ll set the pace for the Weekend ahead, by hearing from a lady, known for her powerful voice. When you hear her, you’ll know the Weekend is here.
• The Good, the Bad and the Ugly. You’ll hear 3 versions of the same song, by 3 different artists. You can tell me if you like too, which one is Good, Bad or Ugly.
• Weekend Rewind. Taking you back to good things that you did in times gone by, through memories and music. Food and Drink are important. We can’t live without them. Not only that, but many people socialise around them too. Having a chat at home over a meal or a Coffee, gathering in friends’ Houses, having parties or going out to a nice Restaurant or Bar. What songs remind you of Food and Drink? And take you back to that occasion, when you went for a nice meal, or toe tapped to it while you enjoyed a drink.
• Team Fm Top Tune of the Week. A large number of Singles are released weekly. However, to carry the honour of being the Team Fm Top Tune of the Week, it has to be top notch, it must be better than the rest. Just before it comes on, you’ll be advised to crank the volume way up because it’s so good. Our choice for this week, will be revealed at some point during the show.
