I'll Be There For You
Hi everyone. Today at 7PM in Ireland and the UK, 2PM Eastern, if you’d like to join me, Brian D, we can Welcome the Weekend together. It will be your Friday fix of feel good music and friendly banter, live from Dublin Town on the East Coast of Ireland, to set you up for the Weekend ahead.
All our regular features will be here too, such as:
• Kick-start. The track that sets the pace for the Weekend ahead. We’ll begin with a Tune released in 1995, made popular by a TV Series.
• The Good, the Bad and the Ugly. This is where we hear three versions of the same song by three different artists. I invite you to tell me which one is Good, Bad or Ugly, if you’d like too.
• Weekend Rewind. Taking you back to good things that you did in times gone by, through memories and music. How many of us had Tape Cassettes to carry around our favourite songs to listen too whenever we wanted? No matter whether we recorded them off our favourite Radio Show, made compilation Tapes from our record collection or bought compilation albums on Tape because they contained songs we liked. We all had mixed tapes of one kind or another. Today, I’ll be asking you what songs did you have on your favourite mixed tape, and inviting you to share them with me if you’d like too.
• Team Fm Top Tune of the Week. A large number of Singles are released weekly. However, to carry the honour of being the Team Fm Top Tune of the Week, it has to be top notch, it must be better than the rest. Just before it comes on, you’ll be advised to crank the volume way up because it’s so good. Our choice for this week, will be revealed at some point during the show, but I can’t say exactly when, it could happen any time.
