Welcome To The Weekend, Good Times Ahead
Hi Everyone. In the words of singer Daft Punk, I Feel It Coming. The Weekend is almost upon us, and I feel good times ahead. In fact, I’m intoxicated by the Friday Feeling building in me. At 7 PM in Ireland and the UK, that’s now 2PM Eastern, I look forward to filling you with intoxication, by spreading the feel good factor, when I welcome you to the Weekend. I’d love it if you could join me, Brian D, for 2 hours of feel good music, with lots of friendly banter to be had, when I promise to start your weekend off on the right track.
Our regular features will be here too, such as:
• Kick-start. The track that sets the pace for the Weekend ahead. Released in 2015, this tune will not only set you Toe tapping, it will also stay in your head, all Weekend long.
• The Good, the Bad and the Ugly. This is where we hear three versions of the same song by three different artists. I invite you to tell me which one is Good, Bad or Ugly, if you’d like too.
• Weekend Rewind. Taking you back to good things that you did in times gone by. Watching Movies on TV, or going to the Cinema is one of my favourite things I like to do to relax. The story behind a movie can often grip you, but how many tunes from the Movies stick in our heads? Quite a lot I would say. I’ll rewind you back to a few of my favourite movies in terms of storyline, and tunes associated with them. I invite you to share yours with me, if you’d like too.
• Team Fm Top Tune of the Week. Many Singles are released weekly. However, to carry the honour of being the Team Fm Top Tune of the Week, it has to be top notch. It has to be, as Tina Turner would say, Simply the Best. Just before it comes on, you’ll be advised to crank the volume way up because it’s so good. Our choice for this week, will be revealed at some point during the show when you’ll hear it for the first time on Team Fm.
