Welcome To The Weekend, Turn The Music Up
Hi everybody. On Friday at 7PM in Ireland and the UK, or 2PM if you live on the East Coast of America, it will be high time for me, Brian D, to rid you from the stresses and strains of the busy week, and Welcome you to the Weekend. I’ll have 2 hours of top quality up beat tunes with a warm and friendly vibe, to get your Weekend off on the right track.
Along with lots of feel good music and banter, our regular features will be here for you to enjoy such as:
• Kick-start. The track that sets the pace for the Weekend ahead. We’ll hear a track released in 2005, by a Lady who likes to hear her favourite tunes. She even asked the DJ to turn the music up. I promise to honour her request, and urge you to do the same.
• The Good, the Bad and the Ugly. This is where we hear three versions of the same song by three different artists. I invite you to tell me which one is Good, Bad or Ugly, if you’d like too. Some cover versions of songs, can be better than the original one, or they can in fact be really bad.
• Weekend Rewind. Taking you back to good things that you did in times gone by. Since I was a young child, through my teenage years and into adulthood, Radio has been a great source of music to me. For many years, it was the only way to hear the latest music of the day. How many songs did you hear for the first time on your favourite Radio Station? By your favourite Radio Presenter?. I’ve got lots to share with you. Some I still hear, and some that I haven’t heard in ages. You are welcome to share yours too.
• Team Fm Top Tune Of The Week. Every week, the gang at Team Central have a chat over a Coffee, and go through the latest releases. We sort out the men from the boys , in terms of the latest tunage. To get this honour it has to be better than the rest, top notch is what it needs to be, to carry this honour for the whole week. It is so good, that you’ll need to Crank Up The Volume just before it comes on. This will be revealed at some point, during the show. It could happen any time, so you need to be ready.!
